Soon the 2014 IFSC Climbing World Cup Series starts!

In less than two weeks the 2014 IFSC World Cup Series in speed climbing will start. As usual, the opening of the season will take place in a Chinese town of Chongqing, where speed climbing and bouldering competitions will be held. The contestant for MKS Tarnovia club and supported by Grupa Azoty, Elzat, Entre Prises & Five Ten, Edyta Ropek is coming back to her top form after strenuous winter training and preparations.

Before the great competition begins, the period of two weeks' time left means hard work on the final form for all the athletes. Edyta Ropek, fighting to come back after her injury and reconstruction of cruciate ligament in her knee, is gradually regaining her high form reaching better and better results during her training.

2014 IFSC Climbing World Cup Series

 

This year's speed World Cup competition will consist of seven editions that will take place on the following dates and in the following places:

  • the first WC edition - 26-27 April - Chongqing, China
  • the secod WC edition - 3-4 May - Baku, Azerbaijan
  • the third WC edition - 20-22 June - Haiyang, China
  • the fourth WC edition - 10-12 July - Chamonix, France
  • the fifth WC edition -  30-31 August - Arco, Italy
  • the sixth WC edition - 11-12 October - Makpo, South Korea
  • the seventh WC edition - 18-19 October - Wuijang, China

The most important competition of the season will be World Championships in Spanish town of Gijon in September.
